Behind The Scenes Floral Set Up- Bickley Mill Inn. Wedding Flowers Devon

After such a fabulous response to the blog we shared on the Shilstone House set up we thought it would be nice to show another huge set up we had at a bank holiday wedding at Bickley Mill in Devon. 

Bickley Mill is set in the beautiful countryside in Stoneycombe which is just a stones throw away from our shop in Ipplepen. We have done many weddings there and love everything about the venue, it’s staff and the food. (yes we eat here out of work too it’s yummy) 

We have done quite a few installations there and we are well known for our hanging installations having done a few now all different. It’s not an easy task so we have a team of us to install and you can see from the pictures that it was worth the hard work.  

Louise from Mrs Jutson photography came and documented us again and the pics are brilliant- candid and show off the flowers perfectly.

That was the ladder up in 1 piece! A 4 man job and not an easy task! We had to make sure it was safe and secure and fully attached with strong chains. The chains hold about a tonne of weight so think we were ok!

We are also proud to have done a #foamfree design- trying to be more eco friendly as floral foam is not bio degradable and we are trying all the time to come up with ways to create florals to avoid foam.  

Then was the task of dressing it properly once in situ.......... 

So then it was the top table and other venue decor to do- wreaths for the tables, churns outside, sign decor and table posies. 

That was all the flowers set up so then Lou did her thing capturing all the florals we did that day. 

So that was us done! A beautiful set up and huge thanks to the Bickley for being as helpful and accommodating as always and we can’t wait to head back for the next set up soon!
