WEDDING FAQ'S

 

“How early can we/should we book our florist for our wedding?”

We usually take bookings anything up to about 2 years away from the date. Average is 12-18 months before the wedding. We also take bookings much closer to dates, within 6 months prior to the wedding which is fine- all we need is a confirmed order from you on booking. We are like other suppliers where dates fill up quickly so if you love what we do and want to use us we suggest booking up as early as you can. We only have a set amount of work we can take on during aweek/weekend so early booking is advisable. We usually book our most of our peak dates by the end of the summer the year before. Some dates remain clear for a long time so please enquire if you are getting married in the next couple of months we may be available depending on the pattern of bookings this year!

 


 

“We love what you do, how do we go about getting a quote/estimate for our wedding?”

We invite you in for a consultation or if you aren’t local we can arrange a phone consultation and we will go over your requirements in detail and ascertain budgets and expectations. We will then email you over an estimate based on what we chatted about. We appreciate some weddings are much further away so you may not know what you are after but we give you as realistic idea of costs as possible at this stage.

 


 

Is there anything I need to bring with me to my consultation?”

Usually the more you bring the easier it is for all parties! Pinterest boards work well so we can see what your inspirations are and we get a really good idea of the whole feel to your wedding. Samples of bridesmaid dress colours/ties for gents etc always help for colour matching but aren’t necessary. Phone pictures saved are good, or magazine clippings saved of things you like help too. You don’t have to bring anything, we can discuss in detail and you can look through our books and we can come up with something unique to you that isn’t picked from pinterest etc.

 


 

“We would love to book you for our special day, how do we proceed?"

Based on our availability, and confirmation we can take the booking you can pay the £250 deposit to secure the date. (This is deducted from your balance) You don’t necessarily need to confirm your order on booking, you can let it sit and plan other things then come back to us closer to the date. All we ask is we have a confirmed order by 6 months prior to the date, when the contract states once confirmed you may add to your order at our discretion but cannot reduce anything off the order. If you need to reduce any part of the order you can move the budget for that item to other parts of the flowers no problem at all.

 


 

“How many weddings do you take per day?”

We don’t have a set number as its dependent on what bookings we have. Logistics and size of orders need to be factored in to our bookings, some larger weddings or weddings that are further away will clear our days out to just one booking. Smaller weddings and ones that are much closer can allow space to take on other weddings, which is great for couples that would love to use us and we already have a booking. We never take on more than we can do sensibly so rest assured we will never be stretched too far.

 


 

“Do you have a minimum spend for weddings?

No we don't, we usually make sure we can allocate the correct time for each week and wedding so we just need to know early on how big or small your wedding order will be, 

 


 

“When do you set up and deliver everything?”

We usually deliver and set everything up on the day, most of the time by 2 hours prior to the ceremony. We can deliver things the day before but tend to keep all the florals to the day so they are at their best and looked after by us. We work with venues and other suppliers closely to fit in with them and respect times of entry to venues and also if we need to work with another supplier we will liaise with them to arrange a suitable time for both of us.

 


 

“Do you hire items?”

Yes, we have a huge stock of hire items- glass vases, metal high riser stands, pedestal stands, milk churns, arch’s, tea lights, mirror plates and so much more.

 


 

“Do you have a list of recommended suppliers?”

Yes! We have so so many friends in the trade who we have built good relationships with over the years. From venues, caterers and photographers to cake makers, stationers and hair/make-up artists we know them all! We don’t have a list as there are so many but please just ask and we can provide you lists of people we know and love in the business.
